A long time ago, there was a young boy who loved nothing more than fishing. He would sit on the end of the dock in the warm sunshine all day just content to take home a catch of panfish. Mom and Dad would help him eat them and they were fresh and delicious. Growing up in Baxter Minnesota near Brainerd, there was a pletiful supply of lakes and fish.
In the winter, he loved to sit out on the silent ice in the ice fishing shack with a warm wood stove crackling with life. This was when the northern pike would appear and run with the bait. Now that was exciting.
As he grew older, his curious mind always encouraged him to take things apart to see how they worked. They would seldom work as they had once he had completed dissecting the gadgets. He learned as he tinkered. This led eventually to him creating small but fun homemade electronic and mechanical toys.
His first career was as a candy cook. Cooking candy in a factory was like a real world Willie Wonka land. It included the need to taste the candy to assure the quality. This processed cured him of a sweet tooth for life.
After time as a cook, he decided to head back to school and get a degree in Electronics and Computer Systems. He graduated from NEI College of Technology and was nominated as an honor grad. At his honor grad review, he was asked where he saw himself in the next five years. He responed, "Going back to school." This did not go over well with the faculty resulting in them not granting the full honor grad status.
